Families get together usually every year. If you marry into a large family, you will show up with more then a dish to pass. You'll gave along with the dish to pass a few laughs and cries, I come for the storytelling. Randy's family doesn't tell stories like the Quinlan's but through out my 33 years in marriage, I have learned to love the stories as much. I have changed the family reunion name to a gathering because actually, some people are not reunited!
it reminds me of my brother Brain. When Joe and I were at the store counter with him buying some beer, the clerk asked Brian if we were all together. Brain's reply, "I am, but I don't know about these two."
ReplyDelete"The Gathering" in the Highlander is a coming together of awesome energy, all up for the taking. The winner, helps or deters mankind. We are as "together" as we can be. I like the title "reunion" because it is a new opportunity to recreate our union. So, although "there can be only ONE, may work for you, it doesn't set well in my heart. I choose life and recreating our Union. It is here from the day to day love we invest in each other. Love, PQ

ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment.. I had actually written that the day after the Hartman Reunion.. I love the " Gathering" that is what I called the"Quinlan"s" reunion.. that is a true gathering of " Heart" and yes, we do invest in each other.. like this? love it !
